I never played organized basketball so I am curious about something I se a lot. When an opponent is taking two foul shots, why do the defenders on opposite sides of the paint swap sides after the first free throw? It is almost like a ritual. Is it just tradition or is there a purpose to it?
Aldeer knows everything and I'm sure we have some basketball players on here. Wasn't Shaw a center for Gordo High?
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

To attempt to screw with the shooter, but also because they match up better with the opponent on the other side.
