I hunt close to Town Creek. It’s mid December till first of January. Christmas week is usually a good week.

I hunt close to Town Creek. It’s mid December till first of January. Christmas week is usually a good week. I am off for Christmas Break and this is the special time to be in the woods. I hunt close to Town Creek also and it is magic in the air those two weeks. My son just got a mount back from Artistic Whitetails that was 8.5 years old. He ordered a special form due to the neck being so huge. These deer share some of the same characteristics as the Bankhead deer.
I can't stand a thief.

But when you see one he's liable to be a stud.

Try finding a tract of land to hunt in this area. It doesn't exist! The creek bottoms along Town Creek hold some good deer. If I could only have one place to hunt in AL, it would be here.

That area between Town Creek and Courtland on Hwy 20 is some prime real estate for deer hunting. Row crop farming has essentially wiped deer out mostly in that area. Sorry.
