I found one of these for $199 at a pawn shop. It looked to be in good shape. No obvious signs of defect and it drew back well with no weird noises in the limbs. Is this a good bow for the money? I haven't shot compounds in a few years but need to look at shooting them again. My eyes are a little jacked up which has made shooting a longbow a little more difficult. The arrow just doesn't go to the bulls-eye consistently anymore. I also found a Mission Riot loaded for $245. Recommendations$

First of all, the Riot is more of a youth model, even though it will let out to your draw length. The Q2XL is 16 to 18 years old. It’s the longer version of one of my favorite Mathews, the Q2. It’s a very good shooting bow and with the proper set up, it’s very quiet. $199 would be a good price on one. If you purchase it, bring it to me and I can set it up proper. The good thing about it being that old is it most likely isn’t registered. Mathews didn’t start registering bows until 2003. So unless someone has had warranty work done on it since, you’ll be covered.
What’s your draw length and does the bow have the correct draw for you? In order to change the draw, you have to swap out the cam. It’s very easy to do. I’ve got a few cams that will fit it. If I don’t have one, they are easily found for about $30 or Archery Talk or eBay.

Thanks Sonny. I'll give you a call as soon as I make the purchase. I liked the feel of the Q2XL. It is about 1/2 inch too short. However, I didn't draw it with a release. The D loop may make a little difference when using a release. Thanks. I would still have you set it up and get it right for me.

10-4. It’ll probably be about 3 weeks before I start taking any customers. I’ve had a lot going on so far this year with my dad passing away and that 3 week trip to Germany.

I owned a Q2XL.
It's a fine bow.
