WHOOP!!!! Our forty year anniversary is coming up in a few days and my hubby and I gave our selves an anniversary gift today. You know, it is the time of year for gardening and we are both big gardners. We went to a JD dealer this morning thinking to kick a few tires and look, and bought John Deere 3032E Compact Utility Tractor with a front end loader, cruise control and rear discharge grooming mower. We had a few extras but that is really the package and it should be delivered before the weekend. How crazy is an almost 60 year old woman for being so excited about a new tractor!!?
We have lots of implements we can use with this tractor already but good grief, this thing is going to be fun and I have a feeling it is going to be mostly mine!! Already, I have projects floating around in my head that I want to accomplish. Hubby can drive the Kubota we already own....hehehehe
I have already put out lettuce and cabbage and my order from Dixondale Onions was delivered today, so this ole gal is ready to get outside and get busy!!

On a side note, we got rid of a big JD tractor and have a few implements I plan to put on the classified section for sale. If you are interested keep an eye out there.

Congratulations 🎉 on your upcoming 40 years, hope you enjoy your tractor and be safe on it.
If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

Hey Maggie,
I know its still early, but how do you like it so far? We are looking at getting a tractor, liked the smaller ones for work around the house. We are in all woods, on a mountain so 4x4 is a must.
Thanks Well, hon I AM ALL IN ON THIS TRACTOR!!!!! It is positively easy to operate and so much less complicated than the BIG JD we had previously. That big tractor was necessary when we first bought our place with so much clearing but now, it just scared the crap out of me sometimes. I don't think I was as tall as the back tires on that one!! The one we just purchased is HST and forward and reverse could not be any easier. The bucket on the front is what I would consider a MUST. I used the front end loader when refreshing beds and planting and I had no problems driving directly up to fences and dumping over without one single mishap. However, I did find it was easier to load when in 4WD. I have cut the fields aroud our MS home several times and the cruse control is another MUST if you have areas where you will be going roughly the same speed for a while...makes it very easy on the legs and the foot with no pressure. The cruse control took me a couple of times before I got the total hang of it....gotta have your foot on the gas at the same speed, just put your foot on the peddle where it is or that sucker comes to a quick hault. LOL!! I cannot think of one thing to tell you that is negative on this purchase. The mower that we purchased with it works great and cuts like a dream. I am perfectly at ease going out and hopping on this tractor with no qualms whatsoever. Personal opinion: GREAT purchase. Good luck with your choice. As for us, this tractor setup is perfect for around both our home in MS and our house in AL.
