Still bow hunting most of the time. I have broken out the rifle a couple of times to hunt over some larger fields.

Still haven't picked up the rifle and I really don't miss it.

I take a rifle when I'm taking the kids with me but I see a lot more deer when bow hunting. Maybe I'm going to the wrong spots with the gun. frown

Well I was still on the bow untill the end of November. My season is gonna be cut short due to a long trip, but so far I saw more deer while bow hunting. I only switched to the gun because I am oh fer nothin also. It's not lookin good for me this year.

I have carried the rifle a few times this year. Killed (2) with the bow so far. Will be bow hunting all on January.

I hunted rifle yesterday morning...nothing.
I hunted bow yesterday afternoon...nothing...weird I was happier with nothing with the bow than with the rifle! grin

Switched back to a bow gun hunted a couple days didnt' see nothing worth drag'n back to the truck. Went bow hunting last week and shot a 6pt and got that blood pumping again, ain't nothin like shooting a deer with a bow.

I'm still at it. Continue to get deer in bow range eating acorns. Killed a doe last weekend and got busted by a couple of more Saturday. I really enjoy getting the deer that close.

bow only for the duration for me. hunted with some kids who killed deer (two were first ever deer) with rifle. I enjoy that. but, if hunting solo, i'd rather strike out with my bow than shoot one with my rifle. i killed many deer in the past with a rifle, so not knocking it. just get so much more enjoyment now out of the bow "experience."

well, I bowhunted all year for the first time myself (except one lonely afternoon when I had an awful cold, and sat in a shooting house - and regretted it). Anyway, killed a couple does and had two impressive performances from Tekan's (first time shooting them, now I here they are changing them...again). I love January hunting, but my season is pretty much over. My wife has a scheduled delivery for next Wednesday for our second child - another boy, and I am gonna be a good husband and hang it up this year. Got to build some points for turkey season, when things get serious.
