What’s up fellas. Took my neighbor’s kid this morning. Heard 2 gobbling after flydown, but also heard several hens with them. They were henned up pretty bad.....wouldn’t pay me any attention. We threw in the towel about 9:30. Ol hunting partner couldn’t keep his eyes open...that 3:30a wake up kicked his butt.

Dang that's a heavy bird, congrats. I had plans of doing the same thing and nearly got blown away in a thunderstorm. I kept hanging around hoping one would gobble at the thunder and waited too late to make it back to the truck. Got soaked

Y’all are on a roll. I was unable to hunt this weekend but will be back after it in the morning.

Worked one for 4 hours yesterday and kept hanging up at 75-100 yards. Not sure what was between us but I couldn't move around him to try from the other side.

I just finished up some plans for a hunt in Maine and New Hampshire in May. I may squeeze in a Kentucky trip too possibly.

I'm taking a co-worker out tomorrow morning. We heard several this morning so I'm hoping maybe we can pull off a double. Good luck to y'all this weekend

This morning was a good morning. I’ve clicked the safety off on 3 birds this week, all in the hardwoods and all inside 50 yds. Brush, privet, etc in the way each time. Can’t seem to get all the stars lined up right. The last couple years have been good to me, so I guess I’m due for a slump year. It’s starting to get ridiculous. Took the week off next week so I should get something done.

They are getting fired up in this last week on my place. I setup on one at daylight and he went silent on me. Had to be at work by 7 so I handed him off to my buddy who was listening on other side of the block. He hung around waiting to see if he started gobbling again and they met each other in the road walking out 2 hours later ha. He gone.

Well new standings are out, and we are still in the lead. BrentM hasn't reported a bird yet and I'm sure he's probably killed about 12 so we probably don't have the lead that we appear to have. I do think we are in the hunt though. Y'all stay after them. I'm headed up to Maine and New Hampshire in a couple of weeks. Maybe I can upgrade.

62 points is a one bird lead so gonna be tight. Plan to wear the soles off my boots this weekend if I have to.

I put a couple miles on the boots this morning but didnt hear a thing. Maybe tomorrow will be better but not looking good for a third.

Well I had a rough season. Missed one before I left for Vegas then work got crazy after I got back, actually still going wide open, and I didn’t get to hunt like I normally do. I managed to see a couple die but none with me behind the gun.

I know the feeling tbest. I was expecting a lot better year myself. I'm a firm believer you should be given the first 20 years after school to play then work till u die.
