It would be a good idea to check all the screws on the rest and sight just to be sure that there are no more surprises

That’s a good point. I’ll do that tonight.

Another thing that seems weird to me. For a 20yd zero I had to move the sight body almost all the way down till no more adjustment room on the dovetail. The pins are all grouped into the lower half of the sight circle including the 20yd pin. Is that normal? When I shot a 20 yard group it seemed to tighten considerably from what it was doing before (Now 3” groups or so discounting bonehead flyers that I call).

Was the peep height set for you?

This. Peep height is most likely not right. Draw the bow with your eyes closed and get to your comfortable anchor point. Now open your eyes and you should be looking through the peep. If you have to adjust any to see through the peep then it's not right.

Ahh. That’s probably it. It was set for me, I shot a couple times and the first few I knew it was wrong, so asked them to adjust. I drew and they moved it till I told them I was comfortable. So, it feels OK to me now just not knowing any better. It’s served in and everything now so it may not be able to be adjusted (?). Or maybe it’s right and I’m just built weird.

Next time I shoot I’ll do the eyes closed test and see. Thanks

Also check to see if your sight is bolted on the riser with the correct holes. Some have a high set and a low set of holes for extra adjustment.

I started to tell you this but from the pictures it doesn't look like that bowtech has a second set of mounting holes.

Once you get this thing set up, you’re gonna love it. I bought this same bow this past July. It is a beast. Perfect pass through on a good mule deer at 35 yards. At 60 yards I group about a softball which isn’t great, but it is good enough for me. I’m happy with it.

The bow I had before was set up for someone a little shorter than me and the peep was off. I had to take it to someone to have it fixed. Made a world of difference.

That’s good to hear Matador. I’m excited about this season once I get it all figured out
