Saw this on a fishing group I follow on Facebook. Dunno if it’s real. He’s grinning. But dayum.

What the hell is around Fort Worth that required a hook that size? No way I'd be smiling either!

I would say casting. That's how most accidents occur. I've been hooked in the rear of my head when the guy in the boat decided to cast to the rear with too much line out. If it was casting where is the bait? You could almost bet, alcohol was involved.

when I was 8-10yrs old (somewhere there abouts), my dad caught me in the top of the head with 2 of the 3 points on the rear treble hook of a rattle trap. After trying, unsuccessfully, to cut it out with some wire cutters, he took me to the ER and let them cut it out.

Good times...

Cut it out? When I got hooked in the rear of my head, bait shop owner cut them out.we were skipping school! I got two trebles in my hand on Eufaula one morning. I went to the hospital. I swear, I thought they'd cut them out. WRONG. Shot of pain killed then jerked them out. Ever seen how far human skin will stretch? It's sickening. I also was fishing Logan Martin in a tx once. A spot threw a crankbait at the boat. It hit my arm and I got two hooks. It was bleeding profusely. I told my partner he'd have to cut them out. He was a big burly guy about 30 yrs old and 225 pounds. He almost fell out of the boat when he fainted. It was all I could do to get him back in his seat. I cut them out myself.Ouch! As a side note. If you ever seen BEE STINK ampules at a store, buy them. When you put them on a hook cut, it kills the pain and heals quickly. I've been carrying them since the 80's when we discovered this. This is the honest truth!

Perch I took a hook to the head on night when a striper threw a lure right at the boat. Luckily it didn't go in past the barbs. Hard heads are good for sumptin....

I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

That's the business end a trolling rig. Probably a big skirted plug up the line out of the picture. That big swivel right at the hook is so you can rig a big dead bait like a ballyhoo or butterflied mullet on there and troll it and it will spin freely without twisting your main line. Only thing I can figure is that maybe someone was clearing lines and turned around with the rod in their hand without looking and hit this poor joker in the face with it. Bolt cutters are the only option on a hook like that.

Course Perch would probably just double up a piece of braid, wrap it around the shank, put a couple of drops of bee sting on it and just snap it out. rofl

I say that jokingly. Perch is 100% correct. Those bee sting ampules 100% do work like he's saying. thumbup I don't know who actually thought to try it but it dang sure does work.

I’ve been to the ER for the same thing. Two trebles in the back of the noggin and the extraction process was no fun. The tetanus shot was probably the worst part about it all.

I hooked my girl friends dad in the back casting one time in my boat. You shoulda seen the mad look on his face! He never wanted to go back with me again. His daughter would get fired up and we would get wild on vacation house boat docks in guntersville. We were teenagers and stupid. We would pull over on a wooded bank and go at it. I know a few boats seen us. Its a wonder if we didnt go to jail or get shot. That was 20 years ago. That lake looks like a subdivision now. Man we were dumb but had fun. She was a blonde knock out too. Crazy times we had. Im done, sorry

I did make one trip to the ER with a treble hooked plug in my lower leg.
Dr. cutting it out asked me if I was in a car accident? I didn't think it was
funny at the time.

I wish i had pics. His face was priceless. I remember her but no pics. My friends dad was fishin around north sauty one night years ago by himself in his bass boat. He accidentally caught a small catfish and when he unhooked it he somehow ran the back fun through his palm and out the back hand. He cut the fin off and left it in his hand somehow. He loaded his boat up by himself and went to huntsville hospital for help. Im not sure why he left it in his hand. He was a tough police officer. One night he was comin in to load his boat up. It was around midnight. He got close to the dock at north sauty and seen some guys breaking into his 1992 jeep cherokee. This was in the 90s. He pulled out a little oozie type gun and blasted a bunch of rounds of in their direction. They ran off. It was funny to hear him tell it.

Brothers hit me in the middle of the back with a broke back rapala. Went up to the shank. We loaded boat and went to Dr office. He just yanked it out with a string, man I like to come off table.
