Who cares its no longer "americas favorite past time". More mexis and "others' play now. This statement is dumber than the one suggesting managers should be able to change the batting order in the 9th inning. For 1, racial demographics should be irrelevant. Teams are going to draft/sign whoever they think gives them the best chance to win, regardless of race/nationality. Why it would really matter to a fan, I can't fathom. 2nd, even if the racial demographics were relevant, your statement is statistically incorrect. As of 2017, the number of black players was the lowest it's been in over 25 years (less than 8%). Hispanic was around 32ish% and white/caucasian/whatever accounting for nearly 60% of players. So, your statement was both ignorant AND stupid. Congrats, that's a feat. Great response. I'm just upset so few stepped in this. Lol
Georgia Football..Acts like Bama but has a trophy case like South Carolina.

Someone once told me the hardest thing to do in sports is take a round ball and a round bat, and hit it squarely.
I absolutely agree. I'd imagine the difficulty of doing that on a high level is why so many people don't like baseball.
If you know baseball...really know it, watching the chess match every at bat...even every pitch...makes it watchable. If you don't understand it, it can be like watching paint dry.
As I've aged, I've become less and less interested in taking 3 hours out of my already loaded schedule to watch a game. I enjoy coaching and teaching it, but rarely will I sit down and take in a full 9 innings.
Ya'll are just overthinking it now

But you are correct...it's the chess match every pitch.
The harder I practice, the luckier I get.

I will occasionally sit down and watch an MLB game on TV, particularly if it's a Cubs game - GomerJr is a massive Cubs fan since the first team he ever played on (tball) was the Cubs. You can usually get a feel for how the game is going just by watching a few minutes of it. Some games are non-stop action and good entertainment; others are a snooze-fest. It just depends.
There are 3 certainties in an uncertain world:
1. All Politicians Are Liars 2. All Gun Laws Are an Infringement 3. Taxation Is Theft

If they are trying to do this to add more excitement to the game in order to capture more fans: Juice the balls back up to what they were, give them aluminum, non-BBCOR bats and I promise the game will get more exciting. It will probably last a lot longer with all the time taken by ambulances on the field carting players off to the hospital or morgue but it would make for good reality style TV if that's what they are trying to do. Roster size would have to increase to account for all the injured players so I guess it could be promoted as a jobs program too.
I'm joking around. This whole suggestion of open line-up, batting who you want in the 9th is some really stupid crap.
