Personally, and this is just me, I don't see the purpose in assault rifles. I have no desire to own one. It wouldn't effect me at all if they banned a rifle that looks like a machine gun. Just keep the ones that look like hunting guns and I'm happy. I don't believe for one minute that a ban would change a thing. Evil is evil. Ummm...you DO understand that after AR's, they WILL come after the ones "that look like hunting guns", right? They may say "assault rifles", but what they mean is "guns", and you'll do well to remember that before bending over so easily. ...and that's not even coming close to addressing the fact that the 2nd Amendment has nothing in the world to do with "hunting", or "sport shooting", etc... It has to do with the God given right to protect and defend yourself, your family, and your home, from any direction that threat may originate from.
