Can y'all help me ID this oak? I'm clearing out what was once a field, but plan to keep this one around. Some type of white oak, but not exactly sure what type.

Looks like Post oak

I had the same thought too. Wasn't sure if they tend to hold their leaves during the winter though. Should be easier to ID this year since it will be easier to pay more attention to the leaves/acorns with all the brush cut out of the way.

I vote post oak, as well.

I have some of those on my place. Not sure what they are.
