there is 100% guaranteed no better potential of spreading CWD than a truck. All the other ways of spreading amount to .00000001% chance.

The only part of the head that can legally be brought back into AL from a positive state is the skull plate with antlers attached, and all brain matter removed. You can NOT drive back with a deer head, uncaped and the brain intact. You can bring or have shipped a completed and finished European or skull mount, after it has been finished from that state in which it was killed.

The odds are very low of a finished taxidermy product making it into the environment, so even if a positive skull plate was brought back, no part of it is going to be discarded. It will get mounted and displayed.

I certainly don't know much about CWD but, if it takes banning deer farming, high fence operations, supplemental feeding, salt blocks, greenfield planting, whatever, we have to do whatever we have to do to prevent the spread of this disease. Period.

most of the state feed deer now. Even if you do It legally 100 yards and out of sight it is still feeding and they gather together to get the feed. Don't ever think that it is about managing the deer, Its about the money the state gets from hunters.

Just a quick note, "Even if you do It legally 100 yards and out of sight". I would hazard a guess that "most" don't do it legally. I would guess that "most" stretch it to the very limit "trying" to be "legal" (or, maybe not even trying see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjVlhYp5UJQ&t=28s and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHShRhb0bdE ). I think "BamaBass" is probably the "norm" for the corn users, nothing like blatant illegal activity to pump up one's ego and trying to make money from ILLEGAL activities!!

But carry own, back to the CWD discussion.

What money does "the state" get from these people with this 100-yard rule?

The DCNR doesn't get anything from this like everyone thinks. It doesn't get "revenue" from citations - the majority goes elsewhere. It doesn't get sales taxes from corn sales.

I'm guessing the CWD scare will derail this year just like the Gov.'s zipper did last year. But I'm not sure how anyone in the state can use that excuse and not remove the 100 rule and go back to no feeding. Logic would say that a feeder 100 yards out or 10 yards out would have same results as far as spreading CWD.

I must admit that I know very little about this situation, but doesn't the 'CWD positive' states still carry a pretty healthy deer herd, so much so that people not from those states often book hunts in those states and pay a lot of money to hunt large, big-antlered, healthy deer?
