for years now, i have wanted to fish some skinny swamp water near us and we tried it with a 14' aluminum with a 25 mercury. submerged cypress stumps seemed to get the better of us and even though it is a mercury, i really like that little 2 stroke and don't want anything to happen to it. what's one to do? buy the right boat for the job. there's a local boat builder that's been getting some good reviews in the duck hunting community and we decided to let him do a custom boat for us.

guys working out the details

yeah, they're the shiz-nit right now. the owner of the company is super nice and very accommodating. he's got a good shop of employees too. they're respectful when the women folk enter the shop and were able to answer all my silly questions.

Looks good, congrats on the new boat. I AM going to build my own aluminum boat one of these days.

Mighty Fine boat Definitely something to be proud of!!! My father n law and his family all have boats built by LifeTyme in Louisiana, you just can't beat a custom built boat. If i didn't like my Lowe Roughneck CC so much I'd have one built...

the actual build was around 6 to 7 weeks but we had to wait about three weeks for the new style motor.

I didn't start from one, raw, flat sheet of aluminum. smile Gonna do that one of these days, if I live long enough to finish the one I'm working on now. IDOT will be happy to know that the first piece of carpet is cut to shape and ready to install tomorrow.

Good looking boat. I've lusted after the Gatortrax boats for years, but never pulled the trigger on one.
