Will some of yall school me a little on huning coyotes? My club has great land for it and theres been more killed this season than normal. Im wanting to set up and kill one or more of course. Wanting to do it after deer season but before turkey begins. We have a lot of clear cut, green fields and hardwoods. How should i start? What kind of decoys and calls do yall use? Are the electronic calls legal? Im starting from scratch so ill be glad to take any advice. Thanks.

I usually have pretty good luck with an electronic game caller. I’ll usually give it about twenty minutes, if none show up I’ll move to a different area. Yes, electronic calls are legal.

I use a Mojo critter decoy most of the time. I have a fawn decoy I use when the fawns are being born.

Well my primos alpha dog came in yesterday. Been tinkering with it some. Looks like i have a good bit of options with this call. Also bought a primos sit n spin decoy.

If you want to shoot more than one don't use a e-caller all the time and only hunt your spot a couple time a year. Anything more and your educating them and odds of calling them in goes down to zero. They are smarter than you think and have a memory like a elephant. Most places I hunt is with a hand call and 2-3 times a year max. With the popularity of e-callers and people not knowing how to use them as soon and you turn it on they already know whats up.

Use your locator calls to find them and then setup on them. Check out the MFK videos, they are great learning videos for hunting in the south.

Superspike, tell you what I did. I'm wanting to get into myself so I got on youtube and found some interesting vids that had a guy named Vandy Collins, he's out of Faunsdale, AL (Thats near Union Town - West Central AL). There are about 3 vids on youtube where Foxpro Furtakers went out to his land and hunted yotes and its fun to watch. He was schooling this foxpro guy and giving him a hard time (funny) so I found him on my wifes facebook and contacted him, Vandy Collins.
I asked him, after deer season if me and my buddy could ride out to his place, spend some time with him and show us how to hunt yotes. He replied back and said he'd love to and gave me his number.
I'm telling you that so maybe we can get a truck load of us and head down there, buy the man lunch and get some knowledge from an ol boy thats hunted them all his life.
There's another guy named Phillip Robinson out of Union Town that has some vids on youtube and he's sponsored by Mojo, or was. I never could find him.

Here's some of the vids I'm talkin about:
