One of my SpotHogg TommyHoggs is setup with a 3pin head where 2 of the pins are removed and the single pin that's remaining is running east-west (horizontal). I prefer a single vertical pin setup but I could see it working great for what you're looking for.

Im saying I want an adjustable single pin sight that runs horizontally in the sight picture and not vertically - allowing for me to watch the drop of the arrow. A vertical single pin hinders your ability to watch the arrow if it falls below your pin. And yes, I usually set it for thirty yards. Twenty yards and in its about 6 inches high and at 40 about 8 inches low. Takes all the guess work and ranging out of it when you learn 40 yards, you just have to compensate.

Just curious, how many pounds you pulling and arrow weight? I set my sight for 30, at 20 I aim dead on and 40, maybe 6in high. That's my 72# bow with a 420gr arrow If you're 6 inches high at 40 with a 30 yard pin you ain't doing something right.

Guess I should add that I've killed two 5x5 bulls doing it so if I'm doing something wrong, I don't wanna be right lol I guessing you failed to see in my comment that's where I aim.

My bad Kodiak. I must have read that wrong. I thought you were aiming dead on with 30 and hitting high not aiming over and letting it drop in. I do that with my verticle pin. Since we all practice with our bows and know what our bow does, piece of cake. Call a sight maker and special order OR buy a 3 pin and remove 2 of them I didn't know that you could special order things like that. I reckon I could give HHA a call and see if they could turn one about 90 degrees for me.
