Any of y'all familiar with these lights? They are gun mounted red and green lights used to illuminate coyotes at night. I'm just getting in to coyote hunting and having something like this would help, if it doesn't spook them.

Unless something's changed, it's illegal in Alabama to have a forward-projecting light mounted on a firearm even for yotes.

You can hold the light in your hand and hold the gun at the same time, but it can't be mounted to the gun in any way. I asked about this a couple of years ago when I wanted to build a super-duper .22 rifle for hunting raccoons.

If the reg/law has changed, would be great to know.

Gotta protect the deer, y'know.

It’s illegal unless you have a predator permit for the property. I think the permits are free, just call and get one sent.

I keep getting trail cam pics of a big ole bobcat after midnight. I'm just dyin to do some nighttime calling. I've even got the equipment.
What are the requirements for a permit?

It can't be during deer season. I believe that may be the only requirement.
