I’m fairly new to the area and looking for places to coyote hunt. I noticed the Uchee creek special opportunity area, and I’m wondering if this is treated as public access land? I have my license already. Can a guy just print off a copy of the map and sign it and go coyote hunt there? I have an email into the state, but figured someone here might know more. I notice that this is a new piece of land the state has recently acquired, and it’s only 10 minutes away from me, that’s why I’m wondering about this specific SOA. I’d appreciate any helpful info on this.

So it’s not open public land then? It’s only used for draw hunts a few times a year? Do you know if it’s open for hiking in the off hunt dates?

It's not public land, so it is not open for anything except the draw hunts. Any other use would be trespassing.
