Congrats. That drake widgeon is purty too. Where are you seeing a wigeon? Awesome hunt, and something you will always remember. That sprig is very nice, a drake has been my unicorn for a long time now.

Is that duck with the brown and green head not a widgeon? If not, please educate me.

Awesome man. Looks like yall had a good time. I hunted TX for the first time last year around Corpus Christi. Did you guys hunt in bay at all or did yall stay on freshwater?
Yeah, well, I always heard there were three kinds of suns in Kansas: sunshine, sunflowers, and sons-of-bitches.

Killed a limit of redheads in the bay the first morning we hunted. After that the winds got up to bout 40 mph, so we had the hunt a freshwater lake about an hour north of Corpus. Killed 24 the first morning at the lake ( 11 species) and 19 the second. Got a cinnamon teal for the wall. We used a guide, but I’d like to go back on a DIY. Every piece of ground we hunted was public anyway.
