May be a dumb question but when you remake a set after a catch do you use the same trap? Kinda seems like it would need boiling again but not sure.

Breeze the man that I learned from would swap traps after every catch. I don't. Once I anchor a trap down it's there for better or worse until I pull the line.

I've caught 5 fox in one set without swapping traps and have caught 4 coyotes in the same set without swapping traps.

I love a remake set! The catch circle will be loaded with good scents that I believe will draw more predators to the set.

I do the same as North 40R. I keep reusing until I pull it.

I just take a handful of dirt and scrub trap and remake the set!

Remake with the original trap in the original catch circle and if you don't already have another set nearby, make a flat set 25 or 30 ft away from the catch circle. You'll pick up some of those shy ones that are intimidated by all the scent in the catch circle. If a location is good enough for one trap it's good enough for two, sometimes more.
