Cat set plugged by a Coon last night. He destroyed some good backing.

And to top it off, sitting in the stand this afternoon I watched a cat walk all over the remake and a urine post adjacent to it. Just didn't step on the sweet spot hard enough.

Cool to watch though.

Only had a few dp’s set lately, and have been catching a few coons and a possum or three. My little helper likes hanging out in the skinning shed.

Put in 6 new sets this afternoon. Anyone else still trapping?

I put out 8 DP's about an hour ago. First traps I've put out all year. Based off of trail cam pics, I ought to have several in the morning.

Caught in 4 out of 8 traps last night, and reset.

1 possum this morning

I had another big boar coon this morning. Hope to get some coyote sets out next week. That is a pretty cat TK.

One reason I like trapping so much is that it can be like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get. Back around new years, one of the overflow pipes on a farm pond started leaking bad. After it drained all the way down, I was able to fix the leak and it has been slowly filling back up with rains. The overflow creek goes down to a small creek 300-400 yards away, and after the initial draining there was a lot of dead fish in the now dry overflow creek. There was one pool of water left where a fence runs through, and I found some otter tracks going through this pinch point. I set a 330 there last week, and had no activity until this morning when I find a 34# beaver waiting on me. What she was doing 200 yards up a dry creek bed heading to a pond I have no idea, but it is part of the game that is so fun. Also had another possum in a dp.

I bought a dozen k9 extremes from no bs lures a couple weeks ago, and finally got time to make a few sets on Monday. Had this mudball waiting on me this morning.
