Thanks Skullworks for posting
This hunt ranks right up there with my son's buck from last year. My daughter had kind of gotten away from hunting the last year or two. She started wanting to do more girly things with her mom verses outdoors with me. That was thought to swallow since she was born on opening day of turkey season and hunted with me that day from 3 to 15. But this year she surprised me and said she missed our time together hunting and wanted to go after her first buck. We hunted several times early in the season with no success, and then some health issues took me out of hunting during the main rut weeks around Christmas. I passed this buck a couple of times at the first of January but he wouldn't show up when she was with me. So yesterday we get in the stand at 1:00 and she had made her mind up the first buck to show up is going to be hers. At about 3:45 we had a small 3pt come out and she wanted to watch him for a minute before shooting. Well as luck would have it a doe came out across the field and he chased her back into the woods. So as you can imagine she was kinda bummed. At 5:15 he finally came back to the cornfield and as she was getting settled in for the shot, this buck steps out at about 140 yards. She switches to him and shoots. He runs out of the field like he's not hit, but I find alittle blood at the shot site and track him to the edge of the field. We go home hook up the 4wheeler trailer and head back to track. He made it maybe 100 yards in the woods. Needless to say I've got one excited girl and a super proud dad. Guys enjoy every minute you can with your kids and family in the outdoors. God is good!
To God Be The Glory!

Thomas Jefferson. The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Life is too short to only hunt and fish on weekends!
If being a dumbass was fatal some of you would be on your death bed!
