I have been out in my yard today picking up limbs.
Kicked over several mounds of fire ants and they are crawling like crazy.
Why aren't they dead from all the cold weather?
We have had ice spewing up here out of the ground.
Ground has been frozen over.
Why aren't these heathen ants frozen to death?

recently i bougght some struff at Home Depot. It looks like saw dust, but kills the hell out of the whole mound. You just sprinkle a little on top and they die trying to evacuate. I love it. Try some, you will too.

Truth....my neighbor and I just move them back and forth across the street. i tried for a month using that stuff they never die they just move i use a half a solo cup of diesel now ill deal with the dead spots in grass still looks better than ant hills.

Have to do it 2-3 times a year.

I don't fight em anymore unless a mound gets close to the steps of the house. I think I have less of them around when I don't try to kill them.
