I find it interesting that as much as the black folks love and adore this man that the overwhelming majority of them either don’t care or didn’t listen to this line in his I have a dream speech.
“ A man should be judged for the content of his character not the color of his skin. “ Dr MLK
Well I’m judging all Deer I see today as a future plate of cube steak and gravy. Enjoy the day everyone.

I’ll say it: the world needs some more Martin Luther King Jrs.
The man spoke for the oppressed. He did not ask for minorities to get special treatment, he only asked for an equal playing field. He made his point without violence (or the threat of violence) and stood his ground on his convictions regardless of the danger to himself. Some of his quotes are still as true today as they were then as well:
“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”
“I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear.”
Instead of promoting division, he promoted unity. It’s a shame more people didn’t listen then, nor have they taken his words to heart today, as can be seen in the comments above.
“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”
“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter. The time is always right to do what is right.”
“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.”
“In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.”
Standing up for those who can’t stand for themselves is a trait we honor in men. Many say they will rise when the need is there, but few have the fortitude to put their own skin in the game.
“I look to a day when people will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.”
Character: the mental and moral qualities of a man. The Bible would refer to this as judging a man by his fruits.
Our nation is better because he lived. His death was senseless and instead of stopping the movement, only changed the attitude in a negative manner.
"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." - Thomas Jefferson
