i bought one two years ago. my brother climbed it one time and bought one..
Pros:
they are the most stable stand on the market
-they have enough room to be comfortable
-they will climb whatever tree you ever want to climb and not slip
-you can add a shooting rest to them
-like the way the pack up

cons
-they dig in to a pine tree so good that you will have sap coming out the tree sometime in the future if its a tree you regularly climb
-when you have the rifle rest attached, its sort of cumbersome to get it packed up ( this is from my brother, I bow hunt so never attached mine )

I love mine..

No better stand on the market. 100% American made. Light in weight with large load capacity. I have the Promag. Gun rest and removable front bar. Comes with a built-in footrest.

Pros-
Most comfortable stand I have ever sat in
Will not slip and you climb any tree you can hook it on
Very roomy stand
Packs together without any straps or bungee cords

Cons-
IMO it is heavier than advertised but not cumbersome
It takes a little getting used to climbing (I rigged up some foot stirrups, like a lot of people have) because I wasn`t comfortable just putting my feet under the rail.

You won`t be disappointed if you buy 1.

You can order over the phone too. They are factory direct. It's a family operation. The dad was going thru cancer last year. I didn't hear how he came out. I put stirrups in mine made from a camo ratchet strap. I bolted them in. I made sure they were tight on my Mucks.

I would have a very hard time going back to anything else. Matter of fact my api is still on a tree because I haven’t used it since getting my tree walker. Slightly longer than I’d like for long walks in but not bad and that length provides room on the tree. It will climb anything you hang it on.
Love It

Don't blame me for your bad decision-

I bought the pro mag in 2011. Since then, my dad and both of my brothers have bought one and sold thier summits.
Same pros/cons the others have said about climbing. I will add that I can hunt all day in mine with no problem. I've never been comfortable enough to do that with other stands I've owned. I generally make a few 12+ hour sits each year.

Dang at the replies, thanks for the replies seems like I need to get in gear and try one . That was my issue with them since you had to factory order , didn’t want to drop $350ish without putting hands on first . Thanks to silverock2500hd for the offer I’m going to take dabreeze up on his offer since I hunt with him . Looks like after the opinions here I will be ordering one after is try it.

Best stand I've ever had. I need to replace the seat and cables next year cause I've worn them out, stand is 10 years old. The stands sell them selves. I have 3 or 4 friends buy them after trying mine. Only complaint I've ever heard about them is they stick to the tree too much loco

It can happen. I had a problem this past weekend with my Summit 180 sticking to the tree. Climbed a big sweetgum on edge of a clear cut and had a lot of difficulty disengaging the foot platform while climbing.

Hey, they got close. They only advertise the weight at 20% less than actual weight. I would weigh only weigh 212 lbs by their standards.

Makes you wonder what else they may be lying about...
