I fish them early in the year for spots. I use a shad color with a pearl white fluke Jr. I catch bigger fish on average with the fish head spin than a Texas rigged or Shakey head worm.

I was using FHS when FHS wasn't cool. I still call any of them a "Swormin Hornet" (sorta like every drink is a Coke) In all seriousness, a friend of mine is close friends with all the Lanier guides (Ryan Coleman primarily) and those boys were on the FHS I guess back in the early 2000's. He used to go over there and come back with packs of those things, would always give several to me and we straight up smoked 'em with those things. But then it seems like there was a several year cycle where the fish didn't eat them very well.... I probably ought to get back into them nowadays.

I don't put flukes on mine. I use big paddle tail swimbaits. They don't require a scrounger head to make them wiggle.

Great spot bait. I put a swim bait in them and work them slow on ledges and in creek mouths. Normally I start with a 5-7 swim bait but will go smaller if the fish are grabbing the tail
