Nobody else hunting? I am not sure if I am this mad at em but here I am. The ground had thrown up and was loud on the walk in. Been here in the cold for a bit, at least the wind isn't bad. Going to try to sit till noon, probably be frozen by 10. Good luck, hope they get on their feet sooner rather than later.

Been on stand since 6:30, was 21 but minimal wind, much better than yesterday. Been good weekend at camp as one members 13 year old grandson shot his first buck yesterday and another members grandson, 8 year old, just shot his first buck. Both nice 6pt, awesome, they are fired up

Just shot a pretty nice buck crossing a clear cut. Imger is not uploading so I'll have to post up a pic later.

I froze solid yesterday and didn't see a thing. Probably should have gone today instead, much less wind.

Came in a little later this morning had a 7pt and another deer in cutover when i got here. FIL saw a shooter on the way to his stand in a power line.

I hate hunting clear cuts. Just not the way I like to hunt. But maybe I will learn to love them. They rutting pretty good in Russell County.

Just woke up. Worked a 16hr day yesterday (four hours of it was waiting on a cab to pick us up) that started at 10pm on Friday night.

In the same spot as yesterday. Looks like the scrapes I�m near were worked again in the last 18 hours.

Been here since 9 and had a small buck cruise by at 50 yards.

Been here since 6. Jumped 2 does on my LOUD walk in and took that as a good sign. Unfortunately threes been nothing since. But at least it's not windy like yesterday.

Just called in a buck that came to ten yards and winded me.
The rut is on in St. Clair.

I had a decent 6pt come in first thing this morning, but I couldn't get a shot. Spooked him and he was gone.

Just saw a heard of deer. 5 were does and all I saw were tails of the other ones.

At the farm this weekend. Was on the back porch making hot coco telling my son which stand we would be at this afternoon, then saw what I think was one of our big bucks slip over a ridge right where I had said we were going to hunt. No gun nearby.

Went for short hunt 8:30-10:30 and saw a few does. We just aren�t seeing a lot of movement yet at our place. But was a lot better than yesterday�s sit in wind.

Saw 5 total and a young 8 got within 10 yards right before I left.

I'm in a hardwood drain between 2 areas of thick pines.

Brought my wife's grandpa's old winchester 30 30 today. First time hunting with a lever gun. Maybe it's a good luck charm.

I�m in. It ought to be at least an interesting afternoon seeing how I�ve managed to get doe piss ( hyper heat ) all over me. And this after going through extreme measures that it wouldn�t. Lol

Back in the same stand where I killed the 9 point this morning. Let another one step out on to this surface of the moon looking clear cut. I dare it. I ain't scared to limit out. Wait cancel that. Looking for a doe.

First tine hunting this stand this year. Sitting at the top of a bowl looking down into an old cutover hollar in NW Marshall county. Rut should be getting fired up any day.

Man, I had the flu and am just now finally getting over it. I hunted sick during that cold time and man was that stupid.

Almost turned into Pneumonia and Im still sick...but finally getting better. Im fixing to make a run at them again in a few days.

I hunted this morning and saw a doe. Hunted yesterday morning and afternoon and didn�t see a deer, but we had a 13 year old kill his first racked buck good 7 point. Cool thing is my nephew let the deer walk (8 pts or better and he said it wasn�t worth the $200 fine to him) The young man and his dad were stoked!!

Didn't see anything this evening but I did hear a fawn bleat.....never heard that before so that was cool.

Great deer killed today! I sat till 10 and didn't see a thing. It was cold!!!

Saw a tiny 6pt and a spikeThis afternoon. My brother supposedly saw 15 deer shot 4 times and ended up with a 50lb doe, and one other tiny buck to look for

Ok I know I'm late to the game but been following these threads for 2-3 yr and FINALLY can say "buck down" yesterday evening...

Probably just average 3yr old, 16" wide 8 pt, but he's a monster to me. I would post a pic if I knew how in this post-free-photobucket-world. Shot him at very last light, loudly worked his way through the woods rubbing trees and was trying to freshen up a frozen scrape in food plot near top of the mountain. I dropped him on first shot and saw him flinch so I threw another one in him for good measure. I'm 36 yrs old and this is my first racked buck after dedicating most of past 22yrs chasing ducks... didn't sleep a wink last night I was so wound up!
