I'm a student at Auburn University and recently started hunting down in Tuskegee National Forest. Been reviewing the past forum posts from here and other sites and picked up a few tips but still struggling. Found some promising sites but not a whole of recent activity. I'm from SC and have never hunted down here so not sure how things work down here in terms of the rut. The season back home is out so really hoping for some success down here. Any bit of info about the area that y'all are willing to share would be really helpful especially since I'm looking for my first bow kill.

Lock you doors and don’t leave anything you want in your truck.

The rut should just be starting, so hunt hard from now to the end of the season.

Best hunting there should be from now through the end of the season. It gets a lot of pressure but I've also seen some good bucks killed out there by people who work at it.

There are deer out there. But as others have said don't leave anything in your truck that you want to keep. And no joke watch out for wild pits. I've seen some aggressive packs out there. And BTW doe gun season is closed there now.

My two wall hangers both come from Tuskegee National forest and we caught a guy in my buddies truck too.
Got some big deer there. Hunted it for 5 years.

I killed a 7 pointer down there Monday. There are deer down there, but you have to put miles on your boots to find them.

I've never hunted it, can't help you. However, there is a Facebook page called "Tuskegee National Forest Hunting". Those guys speak a bit more freely than folks on this site. Good luck, and War Eagle.
