Not too picky, but it'd be nice if you had the laminate thumbhole version Anybody got one of these guns they'd like to rid themselves of? Might want to PM me, I'll forget to check this post.

Good luck in your search. I can't believe they stopped making that gun. It has become quite possibly the most accurate, sought after slug gun out there now. It has driven the prices up considerably.

Friend of mine has the 12-gauge. He nicknamed it Thumper.

I have the 12-gauge, made in the late 1990s before the H&R sale, and it's a beast. Have thought many times about selling it.

What You are searching for is like chicken teeth, very rare, non existent. A Friend of mine had the 12ga model and it would nearly kind you when you pulled the trigger. Good luck find finding a 20, another option you might look at is the savage slug guns. Also very accurate too.

If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

The gun is fine, but it will only group with AccuTips and I don't like em! I've had two H&R Ultra 20's the past 8-10 years and shouldn't have sold them. Just trying to get my hands on another one.

Jeff my buddy has shot 2 deer in Illinois the last 2 years we found one and couldn't find the other both were broadside shots. ACLU tips suck imo

Would also consider a Browning A-bolt, but they be high! Tried to tell you werent making a bad purchase, but certainly not the best purchase you could make. Since you like Thors hammer performance too, sell that 220, buy the $550 A-bolt at Buds, and be done searching for the rest of your life! We have shot deer with pretty much everything out there just like you. Tried lots of shot placements too. You shoot the biggest of bucks in the shoulder with a 3 12 gauge accutip and he will either hit the ground like a sack of taters or plow the ground for about 20 yards and it is over. Laser accuracy for placing those shots (sometimes a neck shot is all you get!) too. I honestly do feel like any other combo out there is a distant 2nd place.

Hey Jug, can you buy from Buds without paying that $100 membership? I saw them on that site for $556 and I'm interested.

No membership required. Be sure and do the "price match" request even though you have nothing to price match to. Put in something like "$500" and they will counter offer to their bottom dollar which will be a little lower than the $556 (seems like it is around $530 or so?). The only additional cost will be whatever your FFL charges you to transfer it to you. Most likely, your chosen FFL will already be in their system and you can pick them from a pull-down menu. Easy, peasy.

My youngest daughter's fianc's parents own a pawn shop here in Anniston, they're my FFL connection. Actually he's the one who told me about Bud's having it for $550
