I didn't see any liver damage but it did get one lung With his shot and with y'alls wait times just seems to me there was nothing else y'all could have done for a better outcome. That deer just lived longer than I thought. I would think the good and bad lung would have filled with blood from the lung laceration essentially drowning him. But it all worked out for the best. Live and learn.

Years ago I had a fenced place where we took handicapped and terminally ill youngsters to hog hunt, had a young man make what I thought was a great shot on a boar with a 243 and never could find it. Let him shoot another one and moved on. Over year went by and never saw the hog he shot, figured the other hogs ate him. 2 years later he shows up outta the blue and was shot in the neck. When I dressed him the back of both lungs were shriveled and hard with scar tissue on both sides of the body I couldn't believe he lived through that.
You never know
