Very sorry for your loss Jawbone. He was my friend and boss on my FEMA job, but the loss is for the whole county and his family. We were talking not long ago and he was planning on retiring soon. think about this, he was about 56 years old. He went to work for Sheriff Cotton Nichols when he was 18 as a jailer. In due time he became the Chief jailer, at some point in there he got his APOST certification. Before Cotton left, he made Randy his chief deputy. Randy had held that position for at over 30 years and never had any desire to do anything but that, never any desire to be Sheriff. DCSO was the only employer he ever worked for and didn't quite make it to get to retire and spend life on the lake he and his wife built a house on.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

I passed about 12 police going that way in a BIG hurry. Knew something really bad had taken place out that way. I was headed to the Y to pick my son up from practice. A hour later the traffic was still backed up for miles and miles. Man I hate to hear this. Prayers sent for the family and the whole community for this loss.
