I'm going to the camp tomorrow to fertilize my patches because it's dry enough on my river swamp property I won't sink a tractor. I am in debate on what to do as far as hunting though. I'm gonna make the morning hunt and fertilize everything during they day but as far as the afternoon I'm kinda torn or what to do. One piece of land hasn't been hunted none this year and has very good sign around the patches and that's where I was wanting to hunt the afternoon but I'm worried the us fertilizing tomorrow will mess it up. Any thoughts

We spread nitrate last week and had deer in plot 20 minutes after we left. Rode back by an hour later and had 6 turkeys in field!

I'm going to wait till a rain is expected, maybe next Friday, and put some Ammo Nite out. I've always thought that nitrogen would evaporate some if you didn't get a rain on it.

It won't do any good until you get some rain. If you're putting out nitrogen, it will volatize and you will be fertilizing the atmosphere rather than your plots. It will also burn the fields if you don't get rain.

Nope, didn't move to Ramer until I was 43. That was 27 years ago

Depends on the chemical. Shouldn’t be “fertilizing the atmosphere” if ammonium nitrate.

N fertilizer choices
