central ala,
Anyone heard anything about one killed this morning? I saw the picture. Not record book type deer but very nice. 25 points. Can anyone elaborate on this because I didn't get any type story.

Compared to me he was young. Typical 10 point with lots of junk. Not just 1 inch junk but pretty good length junk. I thought about 17" spread, probably around 120" deer as a typical 10. In the back ground there's a sign that says "Gut Shot Lodge." Really nice rack.

Yeah I saw it. I believe it was killed around Independence.

That's what I was told. I assume a hunting club. I didn't recognize the guy and I know most the landowners in that area. Always have been the biggest deer in the county around Independence.

central ala,
Yea that's it. I couldn't see the picture I saw very well but about what I described- 17" spread, 120" as a typical 10. Then the junk. Not huge but a really good deer for Autauga. I would like to know specifics like foodplots, cutover, or woods, morning or afternoon. Really would like to know whose property but know better than to ask that. I keep mental notes on the really big deer and where they are killed. Definitely a pattern of where they come from and some oddities on where they don't come from.

What was the Facebook page? Obviously not near me because I've heard only 4 shots all year until this morning. Duck season must have come in this morning.

Yea, I went by there today. I use to hunt there. Best place I've ever hunted for large racks. Seen several 150" and over from the area killed through the years. None recent though. I own a tract that I think joins this property.
