After hearing all afternoon yesterday about how I have the MOST IMPORTANT part in Thanksgiving dinner (I always fry turkey cause nobody else can cook a turkey) I wake up and set up to have the propane regulator break off in my hand

PERFECT. my wife actually thought of the clamp. I’ll be replacing it but this has to work for today!

Don't blame me for your bad decision-

Are you frying inside? Hope your insurance is paid up and you have an extinguisher handy! slap

You got 911 on speed dial? Is that paper towels on the floor under the fryer?

Plywood, paper towels, leaky propane tank, and a turkey fryer full of bubbling hot oil all within a few feet of each other.

I'm in with some popcorn.

Did you inject the turkey or just do it plain?

It is outside. That’s butcher paper and it’s a rental house. Haha. The regulator has a seal under the knob. I’m basically just holding the spring tension down.
Always a chance of it all going pear shaped though

Once you've had a fried Turkey how can anyone eat a baked one? I love the moisture instead of a dry one. Not to mention the spices
that have been injected. Yum.

Best Thanksgiving meal I've ever had was at the inlaws in Ft Walton. I took my fryer down and fried a turkey, then I fried oysters and shrimp in the same grease that by then had the seasoning from the turkey in it.

I’m drooling now! I’m gonna leave it set up (new regulator) and fry some more tomorrow. Thinking whole injected venison strap cut in half and a pork tenderloin as well. Maybe sat for the game.

I'll put my big green egg cooked turkey up against a fried one for juiciness and flavor anyday. smile

I won’t argue that one. I do those too but fried was requested. BGE is awesome. Both have great taste and moisture.
