Just further evidence that we don't have the smartest people in charge of our athletics dept. If they brought him in, the backlash from a good number of people would hurt them ($$$) more than a losing coach.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

WTH does firing the AD have to do with Petrinos buyout?
Jurich and Petrino were connected at the hip. When Petrino left UL the first time Jurich was pissed but then brought him back, because even with all the baggage he knew Petrino would/could win games and produce revenue. That's all that mattered -- wins and money -- but obviously not integrity. However the contract was written, once Jurich got whacked because of the Pitino hoops mess it apparently lowered Petrino's buyout since he knew Jurich was his protector (of sorts). Petrino must have made someone happy happy when he was OC at Auburn back in the day since some of them continue to want him so badly.

I don't know who the right coach will be for Auburn, but it's not Petrino.

Petrino would win big at AU. Well He'd definitely fit in at Auburn, A few 10 win seasons scattered in between a bunch of 7,8 and 9 win seasons on his resume.

The left lane is for the the purpose of moving the flow of traffic forward regardless of the speed limit. If your impeding the flow of traffic get your ass in the right lane. It's really that simple...
