I was wrong about Stidham in a pre season thread about him. He’s had a heck of a season so far and is only going to get better. I know AU fans are glad he’ll be back next year.

I was wrong about Stidham in a pre season thread about him. He’s had a heck of a season so far and is only going to get better. I know AU fans are glad he’ll be back next year. I can't make myself see Stidham as anymore than average. Why? 1). I find myself comparing all AU QBs to Nick Marshall/Cam Newton. That's a pretty high standard. 2). We were sold preseason he was the greatest all time or close. #1 JUCO player even though he didn't play JUCO. Kinda of a let down from what we were told.

Keep in mind he’s only a sophomore and missed a year and a half of play. I was concerned after Clemson but the kid has done nothing but improve. He makes good decisions most of the time and didn’t get a lot of help from receivers till recently. I think he has a bright future ahead of him.

He’s not eligible for the draft until after next year.
That is not correct. He is 3 years removed from high school, therefore he is draft eligible.

If Ole Miss gets a 2 year bowl ban and the players can leave without sitting, AU needs to jump on the receivers. AJ Brown, DK Metcalf, and Demarcus Lodge with Stidham chunking it around could get ugly They may have eligibility issues once it's all said and done.

He's been out of high school 3 years therefore eligible. Why if second to none would he not take the 1st round pick money?
