Same here, I have pics of up to 8 on camera at one time. Fat, look like little bears.

Some type of dog proof trap is the easiest. I use dukes with a marshmellow and some type of fish oil or canned jack mackeral for bait.

You have to have a name tag. You can buy tags from a trapping supply company and make your own tags.

Interested how well the marshmallows work. I've heard of dog food being used also, or maybe it was cat food.

Marshmellows work good. Also they are less apt to attract the neighbors cat if you are in a neighborhood location, like fish oil or sardines would.

We use marshmallow soaked vanilla flavoring. We had 5 coming in on our feeder at the house. Caught all of them in a week. Killed 4 and one chewed his leg off before daylight. But we never got him on trail camera again.

I believe, in addition to the traps being tagged, you have to have a catch pole and rimfire with you when checking the traps.

You do have to carry a catch pole but you don't need a firearm. There are plenty of ways to dispatch without one. If you do use a firearm it has to be .22 or smaller.

Thank you, Charlie. I stand corrected. The regulation says if dispatching with a firearm, the firearm must be a .22 or smaller rimfire. I had been told you had to have such a weapon in possession, regardless of how the animal was dispatched. That is not what the regulation says.
