Is this guy banned from fishing tournaments in Ala. If I recall last year something happened with the Abt. The reason I ask is all the local tournaments are very strongly wording now that if an angler had ever been banned from a tournament trail they can not enter their tournament. At one time this guy was probably making more than most touring pros just by fishing on a local level.

Stirring the pot. Really I could give 3 craps about Bo Hunter and I can't stand the Abt. All I asked was if he was the reason so many jackpots are cutting down on the rule. Either the guy is banned or he isn't. Give me his number and I will ask him.

Don't get caught in shady circumstances and you don't have to worry about these type of questions being asked.

To the OP, I can't tell you definitively if he is banned, but I am tell you that the wording to MANY local tournaments has been changed to allow the tournament directors to reject any individual or pairing they see fit.

I prefer they put them in prison. FLW caught a guy that had won a couple of 100K cheating. They banned him and kept it quiet. I feel he should have been made an example of. That guy was from Ga. I heard he can't get near a lake without death threats. There was also a couple that got cheating in a Eufaula Guys and Dolls. The flunked poly then admitted it. They gave them 15 mins to leave then told the crowd.

Yep my thoughts exactly Perch. You know fishing is different than any other sport. We have no problem talking about other sports players but fishing seems to be a big no no. Just look at Cam Newton,Johnny Manziel,Jamis Winston. Heck even other athletes that are good people in general but perform poorly on the field we criticize. If someone has cheated and once again I'm not accusing just asking the question I think the public should know about it.

There have been a few and still are a few around who win way too much. That's all I will say on this topic.

Bo is a very talented fisherman in my opinion.

If they are just now saying if you've been ban from one then you are ban from theirs. They are way behind. If you get caught cheating around here fishing again will be the least of your problems.

Those old boys that got caught in Gville few years ago were made an example of. That thing went everywhere. I saw a joke about it on the Tonight show.

Don�t know him personally. All I know is I�ve seen a lot of people ask that same question and the conversation has snowballed into a potential defamation of character case. These types of questions never get a straight answer and usually turn south. I�m out of it. Sorry I commented.

I try to stay neutral on all of it as well and have alwats liked Bo. Have also seen him win a lot of tournaments including draw tournaments like bfl. He can catch em. However I did watch him this year, show up at a tournament trail he is not allowed to fish and I assume he knew he was not allowed to fish as this tournament director had told him no many times before. His partner went to the sign up tent and signed himself and his partner Michael (Bo's birth name) Hunter up. Then put in and proceeded to idle out. Someone said hey tournament director are you letting Bo fish, he said no way he has not even signed up. He went back through and saw he was signed up as Michael so the tournament director called him back to the dock and gave him his money back. I don't know if his Partner calls him Michael and if it was a mistake or if Bo said sign me up as Michael and they may not know it's me til it's too late.

If the later is true it's a dishonest act and he lost all my respect. Otherwise he is a dang good fisherman and until someone says otherwise with actual proof he is just better than the rest.

haleyville. We're at the edge of the bcda lakes. I know of one guy that was caught cheating several years ago. He was black balled I know on smith all the bcda lakes and pickwick and Wilson. He got a little time out of it. He had won a lot of money.
He was in my dads bass club. It was sometime around the late 90's. He was keeping the fish in a basket tied to a stickup in the back of timber slues. I've only met this guy once. He was trying to slide in a tournament a few years ago but was turned away.

A cheater can't do anything if they refuse his entry fee either. If you look at most rules it clearly says they reserve the right to refuse any entry fee.

He is fishing the winter trail tournaments that rotate between Logan Martin and Neely Henry. I have heard all the stories like everyone else but do not know for a fact that he has been banned from anything.

simple fix to all this...ban tournament fishing.
