Live from Wheeler today. I’m set up on a trail coming around the end of a slough. It’s been a good pinch point for me in the years past. Red Oaks are falling also. Only problem is I have never hunted in here this early in the season and it’s very thick hardwoods. Good luck y’all!

Decided to try a quick hunt before work. Seen a doe and 2 6 points. First time I’ve seen non spike bucks while bow hunting.l, so it’s been a good morning.

In the office now. Hope you get a big one JD!

I saw one other doe. It was a good morning for a quick little sit! Wish it could have been longer.

I snuck out to Wheeler to clear my head in one of my favorite spots. I’m all setup in my new summit explorer. Hopefully the deer will cooperate now.

I’m here behind my house. In some hardwoods with a beaver pond behind me about 75 yards. Watching some woods ducks in it right now waiting on some action to pass through

Back after them on Wheeler this afternoon after scouting most of the day. I’m in a jam up spot. Now if Mr. Bucky will get up before dark.......

Had a spike come through at 6:30 and a pair of does came in at 9:00. Does fed up the hill just to my right. Lead doe got to 30 yds but never got to a spot that I could shoot. She flopped down on the ground for about 30 minutes while the other one kept eating. The second got twitchy after awhile and they eased back down the hill the way they came. Rats!!! My freezer is almost empty.

My buddy was little over 100 yards from me and he missed a good 6 pt. At 1 yard. Tricky shot with bar in the way. He wishes he would have waited a little longer now. We on the bucks if they will cooperate some tomorrow morning.
