Been thinking about a 6.5 creedmore. Who makes the most accurate one out there. Either custom or out of the box
Two roads diverged in the woods and I took the one with deep ruts, hills and mud.It may be bumpy but WHAT A RIDE!

That's like asking who builds the best truck...In all seriousness, there are many OEM manufacturers that build rifles that will shoot better than 95% of shooters are capable of shooting. Remington, Ruger, Tikka, etc will all shoot sub MOA with factory ammo. Hand loads make them shine even brighter.
Are you looking for a hunting gun or something like a long rang chassis type rifle?? The Ruger Precision Rifle out of the box will cost you about half what a custom rifle would and shoot just as good...There is a guy on youtube making 1 mile shots on steel with a box stock Ruger American Predator in 6.5CM.

Personally on the lowest budget I would look hard at the Ruger American Predator. For a bit more I would buy a Tikka CTR. Those are in middle weight rifles.
If I wanted a real carry around hunting rifle and had the money I would buy the Barrett Fieldcraft. If I had less money a Tikka Superlight with the fluted barrel sold at Sportsmans Warehouse and Cabelas.

solid rep.
Browning has a long range hunter with a McMillan stock in 6.5 ought to be accurate.
Christensen Arms has a carbon barrel 6.5 CM the prices have come down a lot on these. I've considered Christensen but have heard they are @!*&% to deal with if you have any issues.

This entire question is an epic failure because the factory rifle answer is a Ruger Predator or Precision maybe Savage. I haven't shot the Savage chassis rifle enough yet to really know if it is any better but I'm not sure how you get better than a 1/2 MOA group capable rifle.
Everyone can shoot a 1/2 in group on the internet... but I don't know but maybe a few people that can shoot a 1/2 in group with any kind of consistency.
Someone is going to say well the Ruger Precision isn't a good hunting rifle because it is a chassis gun, ok. Well I don't know that. Are you hunting out of a shooting house?... shouldn't be any problem.
You want to spend $4k on the rifle and get a custom gun... That's great. Spend $6k. It had better have some other redeeming quality other than accuracy. Why?
Because what are you going to do?... just shoot a 1/4 group.
NO YOU ARE NOT!
Like I said the question itself is an epic failure, not because it was asked, but because of the answers you'll get.
Every fanboy of every model rifle is going to give you their opinion. The Tikka fans, Sendero fans, the look at me I've got a $4k custom pea shooter with technical late season multi DWR coated lazer engraved bull balls hanging off the rear sling swivel.
But the fact is simply what it is.
I'll give you my opinion.... Get a Weatherby Lazermark because everything else SUX!
Ain't worth the time I spent to type it.

Once past 300 you need a good rest to stay below moa, with my bipod and either prone or on a bench I can stay 1/2 moa or better, depending on the wind.
If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

I love to shoot long range. Im ok at it out to 600 or so yards. And thats a 2 foot target not moa and such. But not good .enough to shoot at a deer. There are so many things that can go wrong and end up wounding a deer. I wouldnt think 1 in 50 alabama hunters could shoot 2 moa at 500yds consistently from cold barrel resting on a shooting house window reguardless of the rifle or caliber. I know i cant. 300 tops for me and i have to think really hard about that shot.
There's too many hunters who will take a shot at a deer from any range who have never before fired a shot over 100 yards.

Full disclosure I had been telling my brother to just get a Ruger he wanted a 6.5. He got the Gen 2 Precision. Nice little Vortex scope on it. He doesn't shoot near as much and never really long range at all, so he wanted me to see about the scope I think really more than anything. We sighted it in late Sunday I took a box of Hornady factory ammo. 5 shots to get it zeroed.
1st 5 shot group 1/2 MOA @ 100 2nd 5 shot group 1/2 MOA @ 200 3rd 5 shot group we'll call it 3/4 MOA @ 400. Wait, what? I pulled one really bad apparently.
You know, I don't really know what to say about that. I'm not a Creedmoor fan really. But good gracious, he paid something barely over $1k for the gun, probably just over $2k for the whole thing with tax and Vortex scope. The scope tracked great BTW.
I've had rifles that cost 2x that which would not shoot that good.

I've got mixed reviews. I've had a couple older tang safety guns that I never could get them to shoot to my liking.
But the newer ones have pretty much all been flawless. A Hawkeye from CDNN sub-$500 in the current market is the deal of the century in my eyes.
You can take it to the bank... the Precision WILL shoot.

I have a personal friend that won the an International Police Sniper competition shooting a box stock Ruger M77 .243 Gave my son my old M77 MKII stainless 300 mag, he purchased a boyds thumbhole stock, and i had it bedded and a nice target crown put on the gun. Took it to a buddy's place to shoot, and that ole girl shot 3/4" groups (using hornady custom 150 btsp) that's the best groupings i've ever gotten out of a magnum caliber! I was very surprised...

I have a personal friend that won the an International Police Sniper competition shooting a box stock Ruger M77 .243 I'm my experience they can be just as accurate as any other rifle but the are EXTREMELY PICKY about loads. Took me all summer to get my 25-06 Ruger M77 shooting around half MOA.

I've never seen a ruger of any mode be very accurate. My wife has a bone stock 257 red pad that'll shoot one ragged hole with anything you feed it My oldest son has a bone stock 223 I think it's a MK11 but I don't remember for sure that's the same way I've not seen many Ruger rifles or revolvers that wouldn't shoot My answer to the original question though would be a John Gallagher
