Been thinking about a 6.5 creedmore. Who makes the most accurate one out there. Either custom or out of the box
Two roads diverged in the woods and I took the one with deep ruts, hills and mud.It may be bumpy but WHAT A RIDE!

That's like asking who builds the best truck...In all seriousness, there are many OEM manufacturers that build rifles that will shoot better than 95% of shooters are capable of shooting. Remington, Ruger, Tikka, etc will all shoot sub MOA with factory ammo. Hand loads make them shine even brighter.
Are you looking for a hunting gun or something like a long rang chassis type rifle?? The Ruger Precision Rifle out of the box will cost you about half what a custom rifle would and shoot just as good...There is a guy on youtube making 1 mile shots on steel with a box stock Ruger American Predator in 6.5CM.
There are two types of gun enthusiasts ... Those who have been F#CKED by PTG and those who will be!

Personally on the lowest budget I would look hard at the Ruger American Predator. For a bit more I would buy a Tikka CTR. Those are in middle weight rifles.
If I wanted a real carry around hunting rifle and had the money I would buy the Barrett Fieldcraft. If I had less money a Tikka Superlight with the fluted barrel sold at Sportsmans Warehouse and Cabelas.

solid rep.
Browning has a long range hunter with a McMillan stock in 6.5 ought to be accurate.
Christensen Arms has a carbon barrel 6.5 CM the prices have come down a lot on these. I've considered Christensen but have heard they are @!*&% to deal with if you have any issues.

This entire question is an epic failure because the factory rifle answer is a Ruger Predator or Precision maybe Savage. I haven't shot the Savage chassis rifle enough yet to really know if it is any better but I'm not sure how you get better than a 1/2 MOA group capable rifle.
Everyone can shoot a 1/2 in group on the internet... but I don't know but maybe a few people that can shoot a 1/2 in group with any kind of consistency.
Someone is going to say well the Ruger Precision isn't a good hunting rifle because it is a chassis gun, ok. Well I don't know that. Are you hunting out of a shooting house?... shouldn't be any problem.
You want to spend $4k on the rifle and get a custom gun... That's great. Spend $6k. It had better have some other redeeming quality other than accuracy. Why?
Because what are you going to do?... just shoot a 1/4 group.
NO YOU ARE NOT!
Like I said the question itself is an epic failure, not because it was asked, but because of the answers you'll get.
Every fanboy of every model rifle is going to give you their opinion. The Tikka fans, Sendero fans, the look at me I've got a $4k custom pea shooter with technical late season multi DWR coated lazer engraved bull balls hanging off the rear sling swivel.
But the fact is simply what it is.
I'll give you my opinion.... Get a Weatherby Lazermark because everything else SUX!
Ain't worth the time I spent to type it.

Once past 300 you need a good rest to stay below moa, with my bipod and either prone or on a bench I can stay 1/2 moa or better, depending on the wind.
If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

I love to shoot long range. Im ok at it out to 600 or so yards. And thats a 2 foot target not moa and such. But not good .enough to shoot at a deer. There are so many things that can go wrong and end up wounding a deer. I wouldnt think 1 in 50 alabama hunters could shoot 2 moa at 500yds consistently from cold barrel resting on a shooting house window reguardless of the rifle or caliber. I know i cant. 300 tops for me and i have to think really hard about that shot.
There's too many hunters who will take a shot at a deer from any range who have never before fired a shot over 100 yards.
