So you want a stand location from someone who has put in the time and effort to scout?

White oaks next to a cutover or Cedar thicket.

Go up highway 79 out of AL into TN and take a right on Cave Springs Rd back in to AL. You can park and walk it or drive further in but there are a lot of flats and saddles/draws they use coming up out of Little Coon creek.

No not at all just an idea on where to at least start. I'll have to walk in from a good distance being I don't have the vehicle to get far off the main roads! I'd rather be away from everyone else so if I need to walk miles to do so I will! If I even remotely thought I would want to hunt the area I would have been out scouting, but in the last week or two I've actually been interested in trying something new and being I work 6 days a week I haven't had anytime in those two weeks to get out and about. I have a week off starting next Wed. 15th!

Definitely a good point and something I didn’t think about. That road gets absolutely awful after rain.

I'll keep that in mind I've looked it over on the topos and have a few spots I'm going to try out. Thanks for the help! If anyone else has any suggestions please let me know! I wish I had more options, but right now I don't have many options not having a good hunting vehicle!

^^^ This. I have been puckered up coming off that mountain more than a couple of times during, or just after, a rain.

I tried to climb smolligans steep in little coon one time. Dang turkeywas gobblin all the way at the top. Made it bout half way before it got so steep and muddy ma little ranger began to lose forward progress so to speak. No mattee how much gas i gave it it just kept slidin backwards. So i dropped it in reverse an slid to the bottom backwards. The road was about 8ft wide an i rekin i musta bounced off 10 different trees. I literally got out and lip locked the asphalt. Ill never doit again in a vehicle other than 4 wheeler

What days are you hunting out there next week? M-W is muzzel load hunt. If I didn't have a pretty good 4x4 I would suggest falling of the west side of 79 into the Wall of Jerico side. You don't want to start walking from the top of booger hill into Little coon.

I'm off 15th-21st Trying to go Thursday before gun opens and back Sunday or Monday. I've looked the map over pretty well and that really seems like my only option at this point. Eventually I'll have the resources to go in the more remote areas!

Now I guess I'll have to just get out and walk and see how far in I'll have to go to get away from everyone else, plus find a good area on top of that!
