Hunt 1- shot a really good buck within 30 minutes of sitting down in the stand. It was a really wide 8 point with a lot of mass. Found a lot of blood and eventually jumped him where he was bedded. We backed out and waited till the next morning. Found a lot more blood and where he bedded 2 more times but he eventually went into a creek and that’s where we lost him.
Hunt 2- hunted another farm and saw a spike and 6 young does.
Hunt 3- hunted the same farm and saw a young 8 point and a spike
Hunt 4- same farm, hunted a greenfield and as I was walking to it, jumped a 160 bedded in a ditch. Had a young buck come in and scent check then leave. Then had a doe and yearling enter and an 8 point came out with his tongue hanging out grunting. He ran the does out of the field. I started to shoot him but passed.
Hunt 5- same farm, same greenfield, same doe and yearling came out and ran off, at 9:30 a doe came running by and I knew what that meant so I grab my bow and see the buck. I draw, and have to yell at him to stop for a split second, I shot and just as I shot he took off after the doe so I hit him back, but I caught that artery and he bled out within seconds. He is a nice 6 point that weighed 200 lbs. I’m happy with him but wished I could have found the first buck. I’ll post a pic if I can figure out how.

I saw probably 5 140 class deer or better in fields and on the side of roads.

Were you hunting private land? Yes
