Any way to check kills YTD vs last year, same time period? Seems like it's way down vs last year.

The few times I've been I've seen quite a few. But the kill count does seem down. My last three hunts I've seen around 35 deer and a dozen pigs.

I agree Josh. For me and my crew of buddies, we all have been saying that. I've also noticed the LFTT threads are shorter, and there are very few kills. Lots of "I saw zero" replies.

I'd say on my hunts this year, 50% have been zero sightings, and there hasn't been anything spectacular on the others. I'm just not seeing the sign I usually do, and this is my time of the year! I'm the goober always touting October as the best part of deer season.

It does seem like less have been killed, but I'm having my best season yet. There have only been a few hunts where I haven't seen a deer. I have had shots at multiple does but I'm trying to wait for a buck. However, I have hunted different land every year I've hunted, so I don't really have a control for gauging anything.

As said, the LFTT threads have been down, but the guy I hunt with have done fairly well this year. Nothing special killed this year, but we've done ok.

It's been a pretty dang good start from what I can see. There's some huge bucks that have been killed, and the folks I talk to and keep up with each year are seeing and killing plenty. I've had a few zero hunts myself but I've had a couple hunts I saw well over 20 deer. I've averaged 8 deer on 9 hunts and had shot opportunities on every hunt that I saw deer. That's actually better than any of the past few years.

Keep in mind deer entered this fall as healthy as ever with the rainfall we've had, real good acorn crops in most areas, and mild weather. That's a recipe for hunter failure.

Been better than last year for me too. I've seen deer every time.

Only hunted once saw two killed one in 30 min so hard for me to judge. It's been so hot most of the people I know haven't hunted much.

Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

Lots of acorns means deer are spread out more and need to move less, therefore fewer sightings and kills.

I have been able to sit 8 times this year and yet to lay eyes on a deer. They are moving around on food sources to much to keep up, literally can’t take a step without stepping on acorns. Plus I’m in a new club this year and have a lot of knowledge to gain on how the deer are using the property

According to gamecheck stats above, it's down almost exactly 25% across the board, both does and bucks.

I've hunted less due to the warm weather. Guess I'm not mad at 'me like I used to be. However, I've killed 2, lost one, and passed a really nice 3 year old 7 pt. In about 10 hunts so far.

Thanks Squadron!! That's about what I was thinking. I've seen several bucks already this year and I've only hunted 3 times. But...I've noticed a lack of activity in the bow kill thread, team kill thread etc.

Good year for me so far. I've sat 3 times and killed a good 8 point. I had consecutive weekends that kept me out of the game (friends wedding and stomach virus) but I'll be in the stand Friday through Saturday afternoon this weekend.

I’ve hunted one time, but I do most of my bowhunting in January.
