I’ve used the sticky at the top of page. Only one listed is Hall’s cold storage. And it is my understanding that they are closed on Sunday. Does anyone know of any others in that area?

I think Tim will take deer on Sunday afternoons. He normally leaves a number on his door at the processing plant to call.

Halls does good work and will accomadate you early in the season but goes into full blown arsehole mode when they get busy. I dont take anything to them anymore.

Beaverton is a haul and a half. I just can’t use anyone that will not be around much on Sunday. That’s usually when I pick deer up and head home. You would think there would be more than one option in that area. Guess I’ll have to start quartering it up myself and drop off on my way home somewhere.

It’s not super close but you could use Taxidermy by Lynn in Tuscaloosa. I’ve used them before and they have done good work.

I would rather be tried by 12, than carried by 6.

Guys, I know Tim pretty well. He will work with you any way he can. He can come across as kinda direct sometime , but he is a good guy that does a good job with your deer. In my opinion he is still your best option. Just callans communicate with him.

Tim’s good people. I’ve known him for over 30 years. Him and my late uncle used to ride to work together when he worked at the Jim Walter #4 mine. As Terry said, he can come across as direct at times. You can just imagine some of the asshats he has to deal with in that line of work. He normally opens up at 5 on Sundays. I’ve used him since he opened up about 15 years ago and have never had any issues. I use the Meat Locker in Fosters also because it’s more convenient to drop one off there when I hunt down in Greene County. They’re great too.
