I'm in a ladder stand on the edge of a swamp this morning. Right after daylight, 2 does and a fawn cane out of the swampy thicket heading right by me, but I wasn't able to get a shot. One of the does' sixth sense kicked in and she knew something wasn't right. Between her being on edge and the thick stuff around them, I never had a good shot

I'm back in another funnel in Baldwin county. Got rain coming, wind is wrong but I am here now. Hopefully the wind will change to the way it is supposed to be. Good luck everyone.

7:15-spike at 10yrds

Sitting a hardwood bottom backed up to a planted pine thicket. No deer yet but there's a turkey back up the bottom that's is gobbling his fool head off.

Set up on the middle ridge where Emmett killed a wide 8pt 3 years ago. White oaks are dropping pretty good in here and they’ve been hitting them. Saw lots of sign coming in this morning.

Only the second sit for me of the season. Been very slow, so far. I've only seen two 8 points and a doe. I sure hope it picks up.

I had a lone doe fawn come right under me at 7:30. She let out 5-6 bleats within 30 yds of me. I guess mama was close by, but I never saw her.

Golf and beer will have to do today I guess... even though my golf skills always get pretty rusty this time of year due to the fact I'm usually hunting every chance I get...

Nothing but squirrels and a yote so far. Couldn’t get a shot at the yote.

It's cold and windy up here in Missouri. Seen a 9 point that stayed out of range, spike and 4 doe. Time for a quick lunch and back in the stand.

It's something how different people's perspectives can be based on where they hunt. I have been deer hunting for 20 years now and I have never seen two 8 points on the same hunt.

I guess. I've done that a few times on public land.

Hoping the weather comin in will do something to make bucks move. Idk if that actually happens, but it sounds good

Just got set up on a small food plot bordering a white oak bench and swamp. Seen deer here both times I've sat it. Hopefully 3rd time's a charm

Set up on another ridge amongst some hot white oaks. Emmett is two ridges over from me. I’m in this spot because he swears up and down I’ll get a shot here this evening.
