With the big cold front moving in which is day is going to be the best hunting? In my area the front is forecasted to move in late Sunday afternoon with rain beginning Sunday night and all day Monday. Tuesday should be much cooler and rain ending. Which day have y’all had better luck hunting? My plan as of now is a Sunday morning hunt and a try to hunt Tuesday at some point however the earliest I could get in a stand Tuesday is 8-9 o’clock in the morning.

that being said before the front can be good as well. I personally have never had luck in the wind though.

I agree after the front my question to anyone is going this afternoon? I Have been every afternoon and only seen bucks on Tuesday, It is so warm again today and worried they will not be moving again?? Thoughts?

Try sittin one of these cool mornings. Just get in early. If you do hunt the evening get dang near in the bedding area to try and catch em gettin up before dark. Just be slick about it.

If I could choose days, I'd start hunting Tues and hunt the rest of the week.

I’m hoping the rain last all the way into Tuesday morning and I’ll sneak in as soon as I get off work and the rain stops. Sunday will be Eli’s first hunt in Tennessee for the year and I’ve got a blind set up for him that’s not been hunted as of yet. I do plan to hunt Wednesday as well.

Only time I like to hunt before a front is if it is windy. Wind before a front means the barometer is falling rapidly and that gets the deer hungry. All these folks that say deer don't move when the wind blows are full of crap. If I had to choose though, as soon as the rain stops and the wind switches to the north, I would be in the woods on a hot white oak next to a bedding area, no matter what time of day. Almost a guaranteed deer if the huntin pressure has been low. There is a deer movement website I look at a lot. Ranulos.com. Now it ain't perfect but it calculates a lot of different factors. Well Big is a relative term but I will take highs in the 60s starting Tuesday vs the mid 80s for the weekend.

My general rule is... if the barometer is moving so are the deer. In other words I like both.
