0 for 2 here but I have had the enjoyable experience of listening to dogs bark for 2.5 hours one afternoon and a fella tuning up his weedeater and mufferless leaf blower the second afternoon.

Yep I haven't either! I hope to change that tomorrow afternoon. Atleast I've shot my bow now.

I am 1 for 1. I went one time and killed a doe but now I am reluctant to go again because I know my average will go down.

Opening weekend was warm and muggy and not worth hunting. Secondly I�ve heard reports of lots of acorns on the ground. Some of the toughest bow hunting I�ve ever had was during years of plentiful acorn crops. They just don�t have to move much to find something to eat. The worst season I ever experienced, the deer ate acorns well into January. Our greenfields looked like hay fields in December, and looked like putting greens in February.

Three hunts: 2-2-1... all shootable, but non shooters... just saying... between Brewton and Andalusia... Your luck will turn around. Stay at it, just paying your dues, bro. Better days are coming!

3 does at 80 yds. 1 buck at 20 yds but couldn't shoot.

Sat for 30 minutes total killed one and saw one.

0 for 2. Don't sweat it, keep at it and they will come along.

Keep hunting with the right winds and you'll be fine. ive hunted for 3 years and didn't see anything till my last sit last year. Now im a better hunter for it and ive seen deer on all my sits and its pressured land. What really helped me was watching alot of Dan Infalt this man is a Public hunting machine

1 for 4 so far, which is very rare, but I'm hoping weather and farmers were the deciding factors. (0,0,7,0)

Work and inner ear infection has kept me out of the woods.
It can be frustrating to not see one but the next hunt may be
the right place at the right time hunt! Stay diligent and kill a stud!

I've had two very odd morning sits. I blew deer out of my hunting area both times, and is usually no big deal, because they will come right back after day light. The place I went is typically my go to opener spot to kill a couple does and release the jitters. This year I ain't seen squat on either morning hunt. Afternoons however, different story. I've seen plenty.

Been stickin to my edges on public ground.. So far ive sit twice an seen same 2 deer both times but wind has been treating me poorly.. But i gottah plan an imah put tha kibosh inem soon

Knock on wood, 5/5. No shooters, but makes me confident they walk through my down wind and don�t detect me.

I�m 1/6 on deer sightings/sit on a big new property that I got in on 2 weeks before season and only scouted once before season started. Have seen a couple turkeys and a pack of coyotes I almost got a shot off on.

I�ve learned something on everything outing though, so I�m happy....but ready to start seeing some deer.

2/2 with a dead 8 pointer. The wind has not been kind so far this year. Most all our stands are set up for a north wind and those are hard to come by this year.

1/2 so far after this morning. Seeing four today has already surpassed all of last season for me. Which is ridiculous.

sitting in the lounge chair in the den dosen't count as a "sit"....

One for two so far for me but I thought I would have seen more deer in this spot. I will keep trying.

Seen 7 deer but all have been does, wind has been killing me. Thinking about getting a scentlok suit. Might have to sell my kidney first though.

hoping the activity spools up more this coming wkend; i've seen 2 deer in just a handful of outings ...

That�s how it goes. I had the worst luck I�ve ever had last year. First 3 or 4 weekends of the season I didn�t see a single deer. The rest of the season I saw deer nearly every time I hunted. This year I didn�t see a single deer the first sit (Saturday morning). I looked and it was going to be cold with a good wind last Monday morning so I took off and hunted. Shot a great 8 point around 9:15.

Point is, you never know. I�ve barely gotten my bow pulled up in the tree and had them all over me. Other times I have hunted late into the morning and right as I�m about to decide to get down, had deer all over me.

Deer sightings are way down for me this year compared to the last three.

2/3 killed a doe an hour into my first hunt.

hunted 3x. had shots opportunities 2x on does of the 3 hunts.

Matt, the deer number complaint threads aren't suppose to start til the first week of Nov.

Zero my first sit, 1 second sit, 0 third sit, and 3 on the fourth.

Kinda crazy start for me. Hunted fp's on 2 afternoon hunts and neither fp had a ton of sign but saw 3 deer one evening. One up and comer.

The white oaks were just dead. Deer crap and sign all over but nothing seen. I'm guessing they moved to another group of trees that were dropping or either hitting them at night.

You right, if I could see some does and kill some would my deer sightings go up?

1 for 2! Nothing on the edge of greenfield the first time and had a spike almost within arms length in some hardwoods last Friday. Still tryin to kill my first bow deer....

7 bow hunts on 3 properties have yielded 0 deer sightings. Its sad.

I've hunted 4 times so far (all morning hunts) seen 9 so far, all does and yearlings. bloodied one up and never recovered it.

Just be glad you have been that many times. I had my alarm set for 4:45 PM not AM. Then while tinkering with my camper getting ready for my 10 days at Bankhead, I managed to throw my back out and was gonna hunt in the morning...SMH. Also moving next week. I've had the luck of a blind one legged nun in a arse kicking contest today.

If y�all ever do see a doe you need to kill it. It helps you see more deer.

I'm 0/6 on 2 different properties. You are not alone. But this whole state is overpopulated with deer and we need to be allowed to kill a doe a day for 4 months, but only 3 bucks. Makes sense.
