Have a couple of questions about a specific WMA in the delta(water, pressure, etc). We are making a trip late January and just trying to do as much homework as possible before we get there. Hunted it years ago and just returning for hopefully a fun filled trip with a couple of buddies

You will have to make which one of you want input. I'll say this. I've hunted 5-6 different wmas in ms and none hold the numbers of birds that larger Arkansas wmas do. if it was me, I'd drive a little further west.

I am not too worried about keeping it quiet but I have seen on other duck boards if you mention one by name you are kicked off. Just didn’t want to mention a name if there were some who wanted to keep it quiet. We are going to Sunflower WMA. I hunted there about 15 yrs ago. May also put in fo manhanna draw.

I've never been impressed with the WMA hunting in MS. They just aren't enough of them and they aren't big enough to hold birds with any kind of pressure on them. We've had some good shoots in some of them before all the Duck Commanders came about, but overall hit and miss would best describe them.

It takes cold weather and floodwater. and the places with draw hunts are just hunting opportunties that may pan out and may not.

Pretty much what I was getting at. The few times we've done well in ms, it was just a few hundred fresh birds. You will see 10x as many birds on a 70 degree morning at Dave Donaldson than the best days I've seen in ms. Now, that doesn't mean you will kill them, but they hold many more birds.
