I went on my first hunt this weekend. Shot in a pecan orchard in Dallas County. Same one we killed 161 in last year. The birds are just down in good numbers yet. I picked up 46.
I was on a dang good roll for a while. I killed 40 of the first 43 birds I shot at. Some I did shoot at more than once. Then things went south. I only killed 6 out of the last 15+ I shot at. Same shots just started missing.
If you love wing shooting, the duck hunting method on crows is a blast.

Got a 2nd hand report that a huge group of crows got up in one of my plots yesterday. Said there wasn’t a grain of wheat left in my “killing plot.”
“Killing tomorrow’s trophies today.”
On the distance I like to walk to my stands: “The first 100 yards is also the last 100 yards.”
