where are you guys hunting this year

Chilton county, Blount county, dekalb county, and Howell, Michigan

I'll be in southeast Alabama, Coffee county mainly.

Man I'm all over. behind the house here in Shelby co. me and 2 other guys have 550 acers in Greene co. I have a friend that has some land on the Alabama river in Dallas co I hunt a few times a year. plus I'm hunting core land and I'm going to Barbour wma for the February hunt. I believe I'm gonna stay at home this weekend because of the East wind. east is perfect for my little spot here. I have 6 different rack bucks still some what in a summer pattern. Got one 115" 8point still in velvet as of this morning. fingers crossed....
what's your plan?

I've got a couple of private family land my father in law lets me hunt. Thank god him And my brother in law don't like hunting. But I joined a club with a buddy in chilton county and I've got a real wide 8 point that has been coming in the hardwood bottom everyday for the last 6 days eating acorns. Hopefully he shows up Saturday. If not then we've got a descent amount of does that need managed a little bit

I had to stay local this weekend but hopefully this spot behind my house produces. I'm not going to hunt in the morning because the deer have been in there at daylight. hopefully they come back for supper. acorns are starting to fall heavy I'm afraid they will spread out pretty soon

I will be hunting in wilcox county picked up some extra ground to add to what I already had last year.

I saw 2 spikes and a bunch of turkeys this evening. hopefully I can sling an arrow in the morning

I saw my big wide 8 pt @ 60 yards yesterday morning but he was heading back to his bedding area. Gonna lay the pressure off of that spot for a couple of days and heading out to my Blount co property this evening

well I gut shot an 8 point this evening. Got pretty good blood . gonna pick up the track at daylight. no giant but it will get us on the board.

I shot my first bow buck a big 6 at 13 yards Sunday evening. Lost blood trail, brought dog in Monday morning and deer crossed creek into neighbor property, of course the only one we don't get along with and he denied me access to his property to continue tracking my deer. It really sucks

dang it man. hate to here that.

Going to get in the woods first thing in the morning and get drenched in the rain but deer are finally moving well on my properties.

I am here. Late but I made it. I will be hunting in Bankhead and in Kentucky.

Had to shoot her twice. What I thought was a good shot at 30 yards turned out when she ducked it went straight through her leg and penetrated the heart. She ran about 60 yards and I walked up on her and she was staring straight at me and a buddy. So I shot her again @ 10 yards and that's all she wrote.

tuff critters for sure. I've gut shot deer that didnt go 80 yards and shot some in the pump house that ran across the county. never know

yeah man I guess we're it. we gonna have to do some killing lol. Things on my Greene co property property are fixing to get good. Found a giant shed Friday that's got me fired up.

Not looking too good on my blount and dekalb county properties. But my club in chilton is coming together quite nicely.

I'm on board with an 8 point from Black Warrior WMA. Not a giant but he still has 8 points. I also killed a Doe In KY but forgot to take a picture. Will try to get another one though.

I upgraded my buck to an 11 point today. Killed him about 100 yards from where I killed the 8 on Friday. Dang thing got hung in a tree when he fell off a bank. Like to have never got him out.

crazy how he fell in that tree. I killed one in a bunch of thick river birtch years ago that threaded it's self in some trees . when I walked up on it I thought it was just standing there but his head was hanging. weird . I have a pic somewhere

Its hard to tell from the picture but it was pretty steep downhill from the tree to the back legs. I had to pick up the whole weight of the deer to get him out. This was two days before having neck surgery and almost more than I can lift these days. I did get him out and luckily my dad and 17 year old brought the deer cart over to me and helped get it out.amazing how much easier a 17 year old made it,haha.

well I have 2 more days of work then I'll have some time to do some serious hunting. Things are getting hot on my Tuscaloosa/Greene co property. good Lord willing I'll have a buck on the board in the next 2 weeks. weather looks to be cold after Christmas.
